Definition:
Describes a vehicle’s motion and behavior leading up to and during a crash as well as captures less-common events involving vehicles that aren’t fully represented elsewhere in the event sequence.

  • Pre-Event Movement: Going straight, turning, braking

  • Critical Pre-Crash Event: The moment the crash became unavoidable

  • Driver Actions: Avoidance maneuvers, loss of control

  • Special Events: Fire, explosion, cargo shift

  • Supplemental Event Info: Adds context to the crash timeline
